The weather just about held with only a 10 minute delay and we managed to get all of the scheduled matches completed. There were plenty of excellent matches throughout the day; well done to all finalists, especially those playing 5 matches!
It was wonderful to see so many members new and old during the day and the cakes and sandwiches were lovely as always.

Most Improved Player |
Clare Church |
Congratulations to all the winners, and also the gallant runners-up. There were some fantastic matches and great tennis played. Once all matches are complete, the engraving of trophies will be done and distributed together with the lovely keepsake glassware - some will have a set!
The most improved player is an award to the player who the Committee votes as the player who has improved the most in the year - following much discussion the Committee decided that Clare deserved the award, as she has improved significantly throughout the year, has benefited from the coaching program and been at many club nights – very well-done Clare.
Finally, thank you to the tea & cake makers for all their hard work in making the day a truly special day and to Andy Chestnutt for patiently updating all those results on the website.
